Check Availability See Our WorkTreasury on the Plaza isn't just another venue on our list - it's one of our home venues. Located in the heart of historic downtown St. Augustine, this beautifully restored 1920s bank building offers a combination of old-world charm and modern elegance that few venues can match. The soaring ceilings, original vault doors, and stunning architecture create an atmosphere that deserves entertainment to match. That's where we come in. As a preferred vendor at Treasury, we've learned exactly how sound travels through the space, where to position speakers for optimal coverage, and how to work seamlessly with their exceptional staff. When you book COS Celebrations for your Treasury wedding, you're getting a team that knows this venue inside and out.
Here's a look at some of the weddings we've had the privilege of being part of at Treasury on the Plaza:
Treasury's unique architecture means sound behaves differently than most venues. We've dialed in the perfect setup for crystal-clear audio throughout the entire space.
We work hand-in-hand with Treasury's coordination team. That means smoother load-ins, better timeline execution, and one less thing for you to worry about.
Imagine your first dance with live saxophone echoing through those historic bank ceilings. It's a Treasury signature moment that guests talk about for years.
Treasury's architecture is stunning on its own - but with strategic uplighting and custom monograms, we help you make it uniquely yours.
"The dance portion of our wedding was truly epic. Corey surprised us with his sax and it was show stopping!"- Liz, Treasury on the Plaza Wedding
After performing countless weddings at Treasury on the Plaza, here's what we've learned:
That massive vault door is the real deal - a genuine bank vault that takes about 20 seconds to open. We coordinate with the Treasury team to time your entrance perfectly to the music. Want a dramatic silhouette pull? We'll show the door operator exactly which lyric or beat to start on so your moment explodes exactly when it should.
During your cocktail hour in the Exchange Room, the Treasury team transforms the ballroom from ceremony to reception in under an hour. We recommend doing a private "room reveal" just the two of you before guests return - then watch their faces when those doors open. It never gets old.
This applies to any venue, but especially for a high-energy celebration: once you push past six hours, you need the right crowd to sustain the energy. The typical Treasury timeline (4 PM guests, 4:30 ceremony, 10 PM end) hits the sweet spot.
Our DJ booth sits next to the vault, hidden behind drapes during the ceremony. But we don't go in blind - we position a satellite speaker in the back of the ballroom so we can see everything and manage your ceremony seamlessly. Treasury provides the officiant mic; we handle everything else.
Those stunning tall ceilings create an echo-y room. We've dialed in the exact EQ settings for speeches (clear and intimate) versus dancing (full and energetic). It's one of those things you only learn from doing it many times.
Our DJ + live saxophone combo was made for this space. During open dancing, we peek around the pillar and hit the floor with your guests - the Gatsby vibe of Treasury plus live music creates something electric.
Every Treasury wedding package can be customized to your vision. Here's what we offer:
Every wedding is unique, but here's a typical flow we've refined over many weddings at Treasury:
Load in through the side door by the Exchange Room. DJ booth positioned next to vault, hidden behind ceremony drapes.
Guests seated in ballroom for ceremony. Soft prelude music playing.
Ceremony in the ballroom. Treasury provides officiant mic; we handle processional, recessional, and all other audio.
Guests move to the Exchange Room for cocktails. Background music: jazz, acoustic covers, or your custom playlist. Meanwhile, Treasury's team executes the incredible room flip.
Private moment for just the two of you to see the transformed ballroom before guests return.
Guests return to ballroom. We introduce the wedding party, build the energy, then all eyes on the vault for your entrance. Those doors take 20 seconds to open - we time it perfectly to your song.
Right into your first dance while the energy is high.
Brief welcome, then dinner service begins. Background music keeps the vibe warm.
Maid of honor, best man, and any other speakers. We adjust EQ for speech clarity in the tall-ceiling room.
Cake cutting, then parent dances if you're having them.
The floor is open! If you've added live saxophone, this is where it shines - we'll be out there with your guests, peeking around the pillars and keeping the energy electric.
One final song with everyone on the floor, then your grand exit.
Pro tip: This timeline gives you about 5.5 hours of reception time - the sweet spot for Treasury. Going longer is possible, but this pacing keeps energy high from start to finish.
Questions we hear from couples planning their Treasury on the Plaza wedding:
Absolutely! The most common setup is ceremony in the ballroom, cocktail hour in the Exchange Room while they flip the ballroom, then reception back in the ballroom. The room transformation during cocktail hour is stunning - guests genuinely gasp when those doors reopen.
The actual vault where the Vault Bar is located is typically used as a bar during cocktail hour in the Exchange Room or as a specialty bar during the reception. It's a real bank vault with the original door, and it makes for incredible photo ops. Some couples love having a signature cocktail served from inside the vault - it's a fun nod to the building's history.
The ballroom comfortably holds up to 300 guests for a seated dinner. For ceremony + reception in the same space, most couples plan for 200-250 to allow for the room flip. The Exchange Room holds about 150 for cocktail hour standing. We've done weddings ranging from intimate 80-person celebrations to packed 300-guest parties - the space adapts beautifully to any size.
Yes! Rooftop ceremonies require a slightly different setup than indoor - we bring wireless mics for the officiant and couple, plus speakers that can handle outdoor acoustics and potential wind. We've done it dozens of times and know exactly what gear works best up there. Just note that rooftop ceremonies are weather-dependent, so always have the indoor ballroom as your backup plan.
Hands down, live saxophone. The acoustics in that ballroom were made for it - the tall ceilings and hard surfaces create this beautiful reverb that makes the sax sound absolutely incredible. During your first dance or open dancing, it transforms the energy from "great party" to "unforgettable experience." Uplighting is a close second - the architecture is stunning on its own, but strategic lighting makes it yours.
