Bar Service We Recommend

The Perfect Pour • St. Augustine

They reviewed us before we ever wrote a word about them. That is a slightly unusual way to start a vendor page, and it is the honest reason this one exists.

She wrote this about us first

In November 2022, Kristen left COS a five-star review on The Knot. We did not ask for it, and it is worth reading in full because of who wrote it.

"Corey with COS Celebrations is so deserving of this 5 star review. He is friendly, energetic, and very passionate about what he does. As a bartending company co-owner and a event manager of a venue, I have worked with Corey multiple times. I promise you will not be disappointed! Give him a call today!"

Kristen Cumiskey • The Knot, November 2022

That is a vendor review, not a couple's. It comes from somebody who has watched us work from behind a bar and from the venue office, across many weddings. We have worked a lot of Saturdays alongside Kristen and Alicia since, and this page is the return of a favour that was done first.

The bar line is the dance floor

Here is the thing DJs know and nobody tells couples. If the bar line is twenty people deep, that is twenty people not dancing. Worse, it is twenty people standing in a queue, having a nice chat, deciding they are comfortable there. Getting them back is genuinely harder than getting them up the first time.

A slow bar does not just cost you drinks. It costs you the middle hour of your reception, which is the hour you will remember.

The Perfect Pour staff explicitly against that. Their own words are that they provide adequate staffing "to ensure there is minimal wait time at the bar for your guests," and they will recommend extra bartenders, bar-backs and cocktail servers based on headcount rather than selling you a flat two people and hoping. Their reviews say the same thing from the other side — drinks ready, no line, guests spending the night having fun instead of waiting.

We notice. A room that is not queuing is a room that is available to us.

Kristen sits on both sides of the table

Since 2021 Kristen has also been the Event Manager for Tringali Barn at Heritage Farms, with her husband Owen as Property Manager since 2022. So she is a bar owner who also runs a venue.

That is rarer than it sounds and it changes the advice you get. Someone who only sells bar service optimises for the bar. Someone who also has to hand the building back at midnight thinks about load-in, timeline and where the queue physically forms. When Kristen tells you what to buy, she is not guessing at the room.

Her own route into this was a wedding: she planned hers at The River House, and the industry got her.

What they actually do

Bartending The core service. Licensed, insured, staffed to your headcount rather than to a flat minimum. Beer, wine, liquor, and specialty cocktails.
The purchasing guide They do not sell the alcohol. They consult before the event at no charge and tell you what to buy and how much, which is the part couples get wrong in both directions.
Signature cocktails Custom drink menus and signature drinks. Their reviews describe infused syrups, salted rims and garnishes built for the couple rather than poured from a bottle.
Event staffing Once they have your bar they can staff the rest - servers, bussers, ID checker, even a parking attendant. Useful at venues that hand you an empty field and a permit.

The company also offers event staffing and a two-hour Mixology Experience. Kristen Cumiskey has additionally served as Event Manager for Tringali Barn at Heritage Farms since 2021. Venues we have both worked

Their own site names a handful of rooms, and we have pages for most of them. If you are marrying at one of these, you can book a bar team and a DJ who have both already learned where the power is:

Do you need a bar company if the venue has a bar?

No. If your venue runs its own bar with its own licence, hiring a mobile team on top is buying something twice.

Where a company like this earns its fee is the venue that hands you a beautiful empty space and a bring-your-own-alcohol policy. That is most of the barns and a lot of the historic properties around St. Augustine. In those rooms somebody licensed has to pour, and the choice is between a company that has worked the room before and one that has not.

Ask your venue which situation you are in before you price anything. It is a two-minute question that changes your budget by four figures.
